Key responsibilities:
• Work closely with clients to understand their event requirements and expectations.
• Plan and organise all event details, including menu selection, venue set-up, supplier management and staff coordination.
• Monitor budgets and costs for each event while ensuring alignment with financial targets.
• Work with in-house teams, including chefs, servers and subcontractors, to ensure quality delivery.
• Ensure that all events meet Beachcomber’s quality standards and client requirements.
• Be the main point of contact for clients throughout the event organisation process, answering their questions and addressing any issues.
• Ensure that company canteens are well-managed, and employees are provided with quality food options.
• Seek out new business opportunities to develop Beachcomber Catering’s Events Department.
• Keep abreast of trends and developments in the events industry in order to improve the provision of services.
Qualifications and skills:
• Significant experience in event planning and organisation, preferably in the hospitality or catering industry.
• Excellent project management skills to coordinate and implement various events.
• Strong ability to communicate and interact with clients, suppliers and the in-house team.
• Ability to work under pressure, meeting deadlines while maintaining high quality standards.
• In-depth knowledge of catering practices and quality standards in order to provide outstanding service.
• Ability to identify and tap new business opportunities to develop the Company’s event services.
• Fluent written and spoken English and French.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet targets.
