Villa Valet

Vick, the soul of Paradis

Paradis Beachcomber

Vick, who works as a Villa Valet at Paradis Beachcomber, talks to us about his career fuelled by attention to detail, guest focus and a profound love for his work. His story is a true reflection of the Beachcomber philosophy, “Feel the Happiness You Give”.

As you enter your villa at Paradis Beachcomber, you will be greeted by Vick. A dedicated soul who has been a part of our team for over 26 years, he personifies the beating heart of Paradis. Vick is not just a Villa Valet; he is the architect of our guests’ unforgettable holidays.

His dedication to Beachcomber runs so deep that he even had a seashell tattooed on his chest. This tattoo illustrates his loyalty to his workplace and trade. He made this bold decision during the COVID-19 pandemic, when he decided to redefine his priorities and look for ways to add more value to his life. He found time to take care of himself and took up hiking and trekking.

As a butler, Vick has developed personal ties with his guests. These connections are so deep that he has been invited to take part in their life events, such as being best man at weddings. He has also been invited by some guests to travel with them to several European countries. These experiences have considerably enriched his life and enabled him to develop a deeper understanding of the diverse cultures of his guests.

But what makes Vick truly special is his dedication to providing personal service. He notes down his guests’ preferences and plans their holidays ahead of their arrival in order to ensure that they can get straight into their stay as soon as they land. Beachcomber Paradis is not just a workplace for Vick; it is a home where he takes care of each guest as if they were part of his family.

"Here is your home away from home. You have someone taking care of you."

Vick remains humble in spite of these achievements. He credits his success to his training and work commitment. He recalls with gratitude his early days at Paradis, under the supervision of Lisel Radegonde, who guided him and helped him develop his current skills. Vick now wants to pass on this know-how to the next generation in order to preserve the unique service culture of the hotel.

He is not only at guests’ service; he is also an artist. He shows his gratitude by creating beautiful works of art, which he gives to his guests customers as a token of his appreciation. His works are not mere gifts; they are extensions of his personality, a testament to his passion for his work and for life.

Vick’s story is an inspiration to all those who want to make a difference in their work. It is a story of passion, dedication and the joy of giving. He perfectly personifies the Beachcomber philosophy, “Feel the Happiness You Give”. So, are you ready to follow in Vick’s footsteps and join our family?"
