Tradesman

The Tradesman is a key member of Beachcomber's hotel Maintenance Department. You will be responsible for keeping the air conditioning and refrigeration systems running optimally, creating a comfortable and safe environment for our guests and Artisans.

Key responsibilities:
• Carry out preventive and curative maintenance of the hotel’s air conditioning and refrigeration systems, including cold rooms and cooling equipment.
• Carry out troubleshooting, identify electrical and refrigeration issues and carry out the necessary repairs in compliance with safety standards.
• Participate in the installation of new air conditioning and refrigeration equipment or systems.
• Work closely with other members of the Maintenance Department to coordinate tasks efficiently.
• Undertake regular training to keep abreast of new technologies and hone your skills.

Qualifications and skills:
• Training or experience as an electrician and refrigeration technician with in-depth knowledge of air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
• Ability to quickly diagnose and fix electrical and refrigeration issues.
• Proficiency in gas balancing and pressure testing of refrigeration systems.
• Attention to detail and commitment to service excellence to ensure guest and Artisan satisfaction.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative when necessary.
• Willingness to learn and develop by undertaking regular training to keep up with the latest technological advances.
