General Manager

To ensure the overall and strategic management of the hotel, while delivering an unforgettable, upscale guest experience. These are just some of the General Manager’s responsibilities at Beachcomber. At the heart of hotel management, you will play a key role in achieving the business and operational objectives of the brand.

Key responsibilities:
• Manage and oversee all hotel operations, including accommodation, food and beverage, leisure and related services, to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
• Design and implement business strategies to increase the hotel’s profitability while maintaining impeccable service quality.
• Work with each hotel department for effective coordination of operations and a consistent, exceptional guest experience.
• Represent Beachcomber with partners, guests and external stakeholders to enhance the hotel’s reputation and develop strong business relationships.
• Oversee hotel staff management, from recruitment to training, performance appraisal and career development, ensuring the team is motivated and engaged.
• Ensure compliance with Beachcomber’s quality and safety standards, as well as local and national regulations.
• Manage the hotel’s budgets and resources to meet financial targets.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation to meet ever-changing guest and market requirements.
• Gather competitive intelligence to stay abreast of hotel industry trends and best practices.
• Preserve Beachcomber’s image as a responsible corporate citizen committed to environmental conservation and sustainable development.

Qualifications and skills:
• Proven experience in hotel management or leadership roles within the hospitality or tourism industry.
• Outstanding leadership and ability to inspire and engage a team towards operational excellence.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical skills to make informed, data-driven decisions.
• Strategic vision and ability to anticipate market trends and define long-term strategies.
• Strong sense of hospitality and guest experience, with a commitment to guest satisfaction.
• In-depth knowledge of hotel industry quality standards and service best practices.
• Fluency in spoken and written French and English.
• A degree in hotel management, business administration or related field would be an advantage.
