Robin, a journey of learning and passion
Thriving on passion and determination, Robin Ramen has been working as Assistant Sommelier at Dinarobin Beachcomber for 13 years, rising through the ranks from humble beginnings as a trainee.
The young man with an appetite for adventure grappled with uncertainty before finding his true calling. Everything changed when his uncle, who worked at Paradis Beachcomber, showed him the way and encouraged him to pursue a career in hospitality.
Without any industry background, Robin debuted as a trainee through Beachcomber’s Projet Employabilité Jeunes (PEJ). He was introduced to various departments, including kitchen and waiting service. His career took a new direction after an interview with a French Chef, who recognised his potential and advised him to join the F&B team.
Over the years, Robin has risen through the ranks, from waiter to bartender, Assistant Restaurant Manager and finally Assistant Sommelier. He ultimately found his true passion in wine. For him, enjoying wine is like eating a good meal – a real awakening of the senses.
What is compelling about him is his craving to learn and grow. He needs time to assimilate things, but his curiosity and thirst for knowledge drive him to ask questions and immerse himself in his trade.

Robin is a living example of the motto, “Feel the Happiness You Give”. He creates memorable guest experiences while finding happiness in his own learning and growth journey. He is grateful to his mentors for their support and guidance.
His uncle has played a key role in his development. They live close to each other and Robin often shares his experiences and aspirations with him. His uncle is the one who actually encouraged him to embrace the opportunities that came his way.
