After completing hotel school in 2004, Patrick joined the Beachcomber family, where he found the perfect balance between his passion for sport, his love of nature and his desire to share the history and culture of Mauritius. A keen storyteller, he shares anecdotes from his childhood in Mahebourg as well as stories heard from local fishermen and about various aspects of Mauritian culture. He tailors each outing to guest interests, focusing on endemic plants or recounting the island’s fascinating history. As a volunteer guide with the Mauritian Wildlife Foundation, Patrick also incorporates elements of the natural history of Mauritius into his tours.
More than just a job, working at Shandrani Beachcomber is a calling that allows Patrick to combine his passion for sports and nature with his love of Mauritian culture.

He cannot imagine his future without Beachcomber. He enjoys sharing his knowledge with his younger colleagues and encourages their professional aspirations. He is very satisfied with his current role, but continually seeks to improve and develop himself.
