Key responsibilities:
• Provide a warm, personal welcome to guests upon arrival at the hotel.
• Coordinate with the Concierge and Reception services for a smooth and seamless check-in experience.
• Accompany guests personally to their Beachfront Suites, giving them a full introduction to the hotel, its facilities and the services available.
• Present and explain the special services provided in the suites, such as coverage and unpacking, and other personal attentions.
• Be attentive to guests, anticipate their needs and provide appropriate solutions to ensure their satisfaction throughout their stay.
• Create bespoke experiences based on guests’ preferences and interests, including private dinners, special activities and excursions.
• Promote the activities of the hotel and the area to allow guests to fully enjoy their stay in Mauritius.
• Maintain seamless communication between guests and the various departments of the hotel in order to respond quickly to their needs and requirements.
• Create a relaxed and friendly atmosphere for guests, with small personal and Mauritian touches, thus forming a warm, genuine bond.
• Work closely with the management team to maintain the high quality standards of the Resort Host Department.
Qualifications and skills:
• Previous experience in hospitality, preferably in a supervisory or guest service role.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with guests.
• Ability to create a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for guests through personal touches and creativity.
• In-depth knowledge of hotel services and facilities to provide complete and accurate information to guests.
• Flexibility to work hotel hours, including weekends and public holidays.
• Knowledge of foreign languages, especially French and English, would be an advantage.
• A passion for hospitality and a desire to create memorable guest experiences.
