An iconic figure of Paradis Beachcomber’s bar, Christel brightens up the place with her warm smile and tireless dedication. She has nearly 25 years of service and has spent her career creating memorable experiences and forging lasting connections with guests.

After commencing her career in the hotel industry as a bartender, Christel has worked her way up through her passion, dedication and motivation to learn. She is proud of the warm and inviting atmosphere of the bar and considers her workplace as her second home.

Christel is known for her passion for people and commitment to quality service. She believes that a genuine smile and good communication skills are essential to excel in her role. Remarkably, she is able to remember the guests she meets and many of them become regulars because of the warm welcome they receive.

She is aware of the challenges and sacrifices required in the hospitality industry and is concerned that some young people are not ready to make commitments and sacrifices, especially when it comes to working on weekends and public holidays. She emphasises the importance of having a sense of responsibility and commitment to one’s role.

Her daughter had the opportunity to work at Paradis Beachcomber over the festive period. Although she enjoyed the experience, Christel understands that she is free to make her own career choices. She is proud of the experience gained by her daughter, who gained an insight into the sacrifices she has made over the years.

Outside working hours, Christel devotes herself entirely to her family. She knows the importance of work-life balance and is proud of her career path.
