Shandrani Beachcomber is looking for a Sous Chef

Provide assistance to the Chef in the management of the kitchen operations;
Assist the Chef in managing the Kitchen brigade, plan and organise their schedules;
Perform Culinary Check of food preparation and monitor processes involved;
Organise orders and requisitions to ensure adequate provisions for needs in a timely manner;
Oversee the loading and control of food quality;
Share skills and knowledge to Team members, provide them with training and follow their progress through regular assessment;
Carry out regular checkups of the state of equipment; control and manage leftovers and waste; • Manage and control food cost as per the budget.

A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Junior Sous Chef position;
Knowledge in Quality Assurance, Food Safety, Sustainability concepts, HACCP;
Ready to perform odd and flexible hours of work, including Sundays, Public Holidays and Cyclonic days;
Proactive, highly motivated, energetic and extrovert personality;
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines;
Must be able to interact and communicate effectively with all departments.
