MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise, co-ordinate and participate in the activities and preparation of mise-en-place and cooking processes;
- Provide efficient and responsive service to guests in all related working areas so as to achieve a high level of guest satisfaction, and departmental objectives;
- Adhere to the Hotel Rules and Regulations and perform ancillary duties;
- Provide on-the-job and off-the- job training to artisans.
QUALIFICATIONS AND PROFILE
- SC / HSC with good grades;
- Professional qualifications – NC3 / NC4;
- At least 2 years’ experience in the hotel industry as Demi-Chef de Partie;
- Good communication skills and customer oriented;
- Pleasant, outgoing and dynamic personality;
- Leadership, supervisory and organisational abilities;
- Should be conversant with HACCP requirements;
- Should show deep concern for Safety, Health & Security, the Environment and Company Assets; • Be prepared to work on a flexible roster of 6/1 and be able to work on Sundays, Public Holidays and Cyclonic Days;
- Should be knowledgeable about cost expenditure and budgeting.
