Lothar Gross voted among the Top 50 German hoteliers working abroad
Lothar Gross, General Manager of Canonnier Beachcomber Golf Resort & Spa and Mauricia Beachcomber Resort & Spa, has been voted among the Top 50 German hoteliers working abroad by “Schlummer Atlas”, the leading publication in the German-speaking tourism market. This award recognises his sense of excellence, but also his commitment to teamwork and his human qualities.
Lothar Gross has a 40-year career in the hotel industry in Europe, the Maldives and Mauritius. He started as an apprentice with the Intercontinental Hotel Group in Berlin in 1983. He gradually moved up the ladder from Steward to Restaurant Manager, F&B Manager and Resident Manager before taking over the management of a hotel for the first time in 2002. He joined the Beachcomber Group in 2009 to manage Victoria Beachcomber Resort & Spa, then Shandrani Beachcomber Resort & Spa. Lothar Gross has been General Manager of Canonnier Beachcomber Golf Resort & Spa and Mauricia Beachcomber Resort & Spa since 2019.
“It is a huge honour to receive this recognition from Schlummer Atlas. I want to spare a thought for my teams and thank them for the support they give me on a daily basis. I have had the opportunity to manage various hotels throughout my career. In this position, I have always been guided by the desire to learn, share and provide guests with an impeccable service quality,” he says.
The Top 50 ranking of German hoteliers is based on votes by Schlummer Atlas readers and German guests’ feedback social media. The awards gala night will take place in Frankfurt in May 2023.
Beachcomber Resorts & Hotels congratulates Lothar Gross on his accomplishment.
