Reporting to the People and Culture Manager, an opportunity to work for a community focused culture that encourage innovation and diverse workload covering all aspects of People and compliance. 

The chosen candidate will strengthen our People and Culture Team by contributing to all aspects of People and Culture function, including administration as well as data analytics and welfare.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Assist the People and Culture Manager in planning, organising, and coordinating the departmental activities and processes, in line with the hotel policies, procedures and quality standards in line with our certifications.
  • Be Responsible for People & Culture Team coordination and administration.
  • Contribute and provide support across all the phases of the Employee’s life cycle.
  • Oversee all aspects of the Human Resources processes, data analytics, Reporting, internal communication, compliance, performance Management, employee’s benefits and facilities.
  • Act as a People’s facilities administrator and provide assistance in planning and coordinating the refurbishment and installation of our People facilities and perform regular inspection to determine need for repairs or renovation.
  • Develop new People and Culture best practices with technology integration and initiates digitalisation of the process.
  • Plan and Coordinate needs with our Service Providers for Staff manning, Staff transportation or any other People facilities.
  • Instrumental support to Employees’ needs, ensuring information flows well and a good relationship.
  • Participate for acquisition of new Talents and provide support for an integrated Talent management program.
  • Manage disciplinary, grievances and performance improvement plans.
  • Deal with requests, handle complaints and initiates remedial actions.
  • Build and create accurate and timely reports for Management.
  • Participate in the preparation of various reports and budget.
  • Ensure renewal of uniforms, personal protective equipment and annual medical examination are planned and conducted.
  • Liaise with Labour Offices, labour Law Specialists, Union Representatives with a thorough understanding of our various legal frameworks and agreements.
  • Drive the employee health and wellbeing program and employee engagement forum.
  • Provide expert advice and direction to management and staff regarding HR policies, procedures, and employee relations.
  • Oversees the Health & Safety procedures and provide advice to Management for maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Organise and co-ordinate ongoing social activities / events for our People.
  • Ensure adherence and general observance of various regulations in line with our Company’s Policy, the Hotel’s rules.

QUALIFICATIONS AND PROFILE:

  • At least a Degree in Human Resources / People Management or any other acceptable qualifications
  • At least 3 years past-experience working in a People and Culture team, Project management and at Supervisory level
  • Fully conversant with Microsoft Office, knowledge of HRIS such as SicoraxHR and Vipertex and well versed with professional social network
  • Excellent communicator and customer service focus approach to work with people
  • Proactive, disciplined and well organised with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Problem-solver and continuous improvement mind-set that foster teamwork
  • Strong empathy and interpersonal skills with attention to details with the capability to effectively manage priorities
  • Have good knowledge of employment laws and policies
  • Ability to switch context with ease and to jungle high volume of concurrent activities and work to deadlines and manage multiple stakeholders
  • Committed on own professional development and demonstrate growth mind-set and desire to learn
  • Committed to maintain a high degree of personal integrity and confidentiality
