Third quarter and nine-month results for FY2026 NMH maintains robust growth amidst global volatility

New Mauritius Hotels Limited (NMH) continued its growth momentum and delivered an excellent performance for the third quarter and the first nine months of FY2026 (1 July 2025-31 March 2026). Over the nine-month period, the Group achieved revenue of Rs 14.6 billion, representing a 14% increase compared with the corresponding period in 2025. EBITDA reached Rs 5 billion, up 29%, while profit after tax rose by 53% to Rs 2.5 billion. The gearing ratio was reduced to 42%, confirming the continued consolidation of the Group’s financial structure.

“NMH delivered a solid performance over the first nine months of FY2026, building on the excellent first-half results and a strong third quarter. The significant growth in revenue, EBITDA and profit after tax was supported by favourable movements in the euro and pound sterling exchange rates. It also reflects the relevance of our pricing and commercial strategy, alongside our operational discipline. In an environment marked by geopolitical tensions linked to the Middle East crisis and ongoing disruptions affecting both our industry and the aviation sector, these results demonstrate the strength of the Beachcomber brand, the resilience of our fundamentals and our ability to sustain a long-term growth trajectory,” says Stéphane Poupinel de Valencé, CEO of NMH.

“This momentum is driven by the implementation of our Strategic Framework, founded on our People-driven Hospitality approach. This framework is structured around four strategic pillars: Guest Experience, Sustainable Development, Commercial Performance and Operational Excellence, all supported by a large-scale digital transformation programme that serves as a genuine driver of growth and performance. Above all, our progress relies on the daily commitment of our Artisans and I would like to thank each of them for their expertise, passion and constant pursuit of excellence.

“The NMH Group is now well-positioned to close FY2026 with a robust performance. However, we remain particularly vigilant regarding developments in the Middle East conflict and its potential medium-term impact on the Group,” he added.

Mauritius
Operations in Mauritius remain the Group’s primary growth engine. For the first nine months of FY2026, revenue reached Rs 11.9 billion, representing a 14% increase compared with the same period last year. This performance reflects resilient demand, improved pricing and stronger operating margins. EBITDA stood at Rs 4.2 billion, up 32%.

Morocco
Operations in Morocco delivered a significantly improved performance compared with the corresponding period in 2025, driven by higher occupancy levels and improved yield. The destination also benefited from shifts in travel trends amidst global geopolitical tensions. Revenue reached Rs 1.1 billion, up 21%, while EBITDA rose by 56% to Rs 191 million.

Seychelles
Rental income from the lease of the Sainte Anne hotel property remained in line with expectations, with a slight increase recorded in February in accordance with the terms of the lease agreement. However, the contribution of this income to Group results was impacted by higher deferred taxation.

Projects
Discussions relating to the potential acquisition of a luxury hotel in Zanzibar are at an advanced stage, with financing arrangements already in place to support the completion of the transaction. The Group will keep the public informed of any significant developments in due course.

In April 2026, Beachcomber Hotels SA completed a sale-and-leaseback transaction with Apexia Beachcomber Properties, an associate company in which it holds a 49% stake. The transaction relates to the 134-key resort located in Marrakech, Morocco. Beachcomber Hotels SA will continue to operate the property through its hotel management agreement with the Fairmont brand. Proceeds from the transaction will be partially allocated to the development of a resort adjacent to the existing Marrakech property, as well as to debt reduction across the Group.

Effective 15 May 2026, Trou aux Biches Beachcomber Golf Resort & Spa will temporarily close for an extensive renovation programme covering its suites and main restaurants. Concurrently, rehabilitation works will be carried out on the Trou aux Biches beach, which has been experiencing significant coastal erosion. The resort is scheduled to reopen in phases starting from October 2026.

Outlook
Booking trends remain stable and are aligned with those observed in 2025. However, the global hospitality industry continues to operate in an environment characterised by significant uncertainty. Geopolitical tensions, volatility in air connectivity, fluctuating energy prices and other macroeconomic factors may impact travel trends in the short term. Against this backdrop, NMH continues to maintain a rigorous and disciplined approach to financial management.

The Board of Directors maintains a cautiously optimistic outlook for the remainder of the financial year, with the Group on track to deliver EBITDA in excess of Rs 5.5 billion for the full year.

Dividend on ordinary shares
In light of the Group’s performance, the Board of Directors will recommend the payment of a final dividend of 45 cents per ordinary share, payable on or around 7 July 2026.
